Summary: Reporting to the Logistics Manager the Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for supporting production requirements across business units with respect to the management and co-ordination of raw materials, finished product and supporting documentation in line with documentation procedures. responsibility for day-to-day operation of West Dublin warehouse facility and ensuring that the warehouse is always well organized, clean, and tidy at all times for internal/external audits/visits. This role carries responsibility for the management of a team of warehouse operators.
Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Warehouse management in a High Tech / High Volume industry preferably with the plastics, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Preferably have a formal Logistics or Supply Chain Management qualification.
Must have experience of managing a team.
Must have the ability to coordinate and support the training and development of the Warehouse Team.
Must have strong knowledge and practical experience of Warehousing and inventory control systems and be computer literate.
Must understand the principles of batch control, JIT manufacturing, stock turns, FIFO, etc.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Must be able to organize and prioritise tasks and be detail orientated and self-motivated.
Must be able to deal with all levels of employees and work across various departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, lead and manage a high performing team to deliver the defined business goals & objectives.
Responsible for the management and smooth operation of all daily warehousing functions within West Dublin, including but not limited to:
Receiving and inspection of incoming goods, materials, and other equipment.
Safe and secure storage of goods, materials, and other equipment.
Cycle counting, inventory transaction accuracy, warehousing labelling/Id. and discrepancy resolution.
Safe operation of all Forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Material issue and movement to and from production on FIFO basis and in a timely manner.
Daily warehouse interfacing with freight carriers.
Picking and shipment of goods, materials, and other equipment.
All Warehouse assigned transactions and documentation.
Kanban operation for consumables.
Audit readiness and performance reporting.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of Health and Safety with a key focus on Behavioural Based Safety.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in line with the industry standard.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of quality and ensuring the integrity of our product to our customer.
Responsible for ensuring the warehouse works effectively with Planning & Logistics, Business Units, Account and Purchasing Managers to ensure the lean management of the supply chain to our customers.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies in connection with the warehousing function.
Ensure Ways of Working are aligned to our Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Work closely with and support the Purchasing, Planning and Supply functions within the plant.
As a member of the Production Team, support training and development of the logistics team to support the overall business and to deliver the defined business goals & objectives.
Assist the Logistics Manager with the identification and development of talent, including performance management, coaching, and mentoring for high performance.
Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements training, and regulations.
Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.
Act in accordance with the company’s guiding principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
