ICON Clinical Research Qualified Financial Accountant in Dublin, Ireland

ICON is recruiting for a Qualified Financial Accountant, on a Permanent hybrid working basis, to join a thriving & growing team, based in our HQ in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant, to gain responsibilities in a range of Financial and Business Partnering driven activities, become commercially focused and be a key player within the Finance activities or the global organization.

The Financial Accountant, will be responsible for:

  • Weekly cash-flow monitoring and reporting.

  • Liaising with and assisting external auditors - at both group and local levels.

  • Assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements.

  • Assisting Tax Manager with tax queries across a range of European entities.

  • Manage full Trial Balance and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare Monthly Financial Information for 2 or more European entities, including Management Accounts.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for the company to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.

  • Calculation of Cost-plus revenue.

  • Compliance (VAT returns, Statutory Financial Statements, CT returns and all other filings are completed and filed in accordance with local legislation & timelines).

  • Ensuring all processes are SOX compliant.

To be considered for the Financial Accountant role:

  • 1-2 years PQE ACA/CIMA/ACCA with good accounts preparation experience

  • Good Systems experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work on own initiative.

  • Experience assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements.
