About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Manager to join our Front Office team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • To ensure through effective supervision that all services offered in the Front Office are always available, and are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the guidelines established and documented in the Rooms Operations Manual

  • To effectively handle and resolve any guest problems or complaints and keep Senior Hotel Management informed

  • To undertake Duty Management shifts if required

  • To ensure that on daily basis all standards and procedures are adhered to regarding Arrival and departure of guests, accommodation of special requests and handling of VIP arrivals.

  • To meet and welcome regular and VIP guests in accordance with Jumeirah and the hotel’s guest recognition programs

  • To liaise closely with all Heads of Department with regards to servicing and handling of incoming groups, VIP and regular guests

  • To assist the Sales team in aspects of controlling peak periods, resolving conflicts in bookings, changing dates and facilities for all group and corporate business

  • To oversee Service One and Front Desk projects and drive initiatives for these two departments

  • To review all operations analysis reports and develop new procedures and operating concepts as required

  • To research and keep abreast of all new technological advances within the industry and recommend to management any innovations and / or suggested improvements

  • To periodically inspect Front Office areas to ensure both the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel’s clientele is maintained and that all standards of amenities and touches are provided

  • To meet regularly with the Assistant Front Office Managers / Team Leaders to review the operation of the department to ensure smooth coordination and communication

  • To meet regularly with the Service One Manager to review the operation / team to ensure smooth coordination and communication

  • To be the Marsa Al Arab contact for the Jumeirah One loyalty program

  • To maintain all hotel records and forms as prescribed by local management and policies

  • To ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately

  • To ensure that the guest history files are maintained and kept up to date at all times

  • To ensure the ongoing maintenance of the Guest Recognition Programmes

  • To drive retention and recruitment for all of Front Office team

  • To ensure Audit requirements are met and successfully pass inspections

  • To plan and implement effective up-selling activities to ensure maximum room revenue through effective rate management

  • To entertain regular and potential clients

  • To attend hotel Diplomatic and other sales hosted functions to maintain customer loyalty

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Intensive experience working in a luxury hotel, with a minimum of 4 years of experience

  • Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team to consistently achieve excellence

  • Professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the luxury brand image of Jumeirah

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.

  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy, ensuring positive guest experiences.
