About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join the Finance team of Madinat Jumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Ensure that all daily transaction records are complete and verified for the Finance Manager’s approval.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis.
Set clear guidelines and deadlines for employees to ensure timely financial reporting.
Maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and alignment with departmental objectives.
Efficiently distribute tasks among Finance Executives and Assistants while monitoring accuracy and timeliness.
Organize and conduct monthly training sessions to enhance the competency of Finance colleagues.
Maintain an up-to-date and organized filing system for all financial records.
Supervise Finance colleagues to ensure adherence to standard procedures and company policies.
Deputize for the Finance Manager in their absence and be fully familiar with their responsibilities.
Foster a positive work environment by encouraging open communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring compliance with company policies on fire, safety, and health.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Degree in Finance & Accounting / Commerce / Mathematics / Economics.
Demonstrated knowledge of Finance & Accounting administration processes and policies in the Middle East.
Experience in Finance within hospitality or customer service-related industry (Hotel operation background highly regarded).
High level of written and verbal business English.
Knowledge of Opera, Micros, Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon), Sun System.
