L2 Aviation IT Technician Level I in Dripping Springs, Texas

Position: IT Technician Level I Location: Dripping Springs, TX (Austin, TX area) Description: Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Technician Level I will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and network-related issues. The primary goal of the position is to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical problems, improve end-user productivity, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities: • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system related issues via phone, email, chat, or in person. • Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams if necessary, and ensuring timely resolution. • Guide end-users through problem-solving steps, offering guidance and solutions in a clear and concise manner. • Maintain accurate records of all help desk interactions, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system. • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets within set time expectations to meet or exceed customer expectations. • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed. • Collaborate with other IT members to identify recurring issues and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences. • Conduct user training and provide technical guidance to enhance end-user knowledge and self-sufficiency. • Stay up-to-date with current technology trends and industry developments to provide proactive support and recommend improvements. • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while delivering exceptional customer service at all times. • Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). • Proven experience in a similar IT support or help desk role. • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite. • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting. • Excellent communication skills. Required Skills and Abilities: • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. • Proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks within a group environment. • Ability to accept direction and additional responsibilities from one or more sources. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with end-users at all levels of technical understanding. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude at all times including under stress. • Punctuality expected and overtime hours as necessary. • Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus. • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is preferred. • Strong time-management and organizational skills. • Ability to read, write and speak the English language. • Must be able to respond to after-hours support issues infrequently to keep systems online. Work Environment: The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. The office building where this position works is a typical office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues in the immediate vicinity of the workstation. The employee in this position will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat, cold, and environmental elements when called upon to locate personnel working inside or outside of an office facility.
