The Individual Life Insurance Product Strategy Team is seeking a Vice President of Term, Specialty Solutions, and Innovation to join our team. Conceptualization is purposeful to driving value-based innovation and growth, offering driven solutions for evolving customer needs, optimizing solutions for financial goals, and maintaining relevance in the marketplace.

This role is focused on identifying and defining innovative opportunities that will enable us to maintain a broad, well balanced, profitable, and competitive portfolio of Individual Life Insurance Solutions that help consumers, and their advisors, solve complex financial needs in support of Prudential's goal of being the Life Insurance Leader.

It requires a strategic mentality to define, refine and prioritize solutions to ensure we are spending our time on the most relevant opportunities aligned to our broader business goals. The individual will be responsible for leading a cross-functional ideation process, articulating the strategy, building a proof of concept, and defining the business reason.

The role will also function as the Product Line Leader for our Core Term solutions as well as Specialty solutions such as our Benefit Access Rider (BAR) for Chronic Illness protection needs. Line Leaders are responsible for ensuring the success of their product line and all initiatives supporting it.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as resourceful by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect: * Drive the product strategy for competitive term products and specialty solutions like BAR, that proactively meets customer needs and drives growth. * Lead the Ideation process, including a prototyping lab, to contribute a pipeline of new innovative product solution ideas * Help build a robust product portfolio that successfully and consistently balances the interests of customers, distributors, regulators and shareholders * Partner with other product solution line leaders to amplify an optimal product calendar, by identifying ideas and assessing their viability * Partner with Pricing on the view of profitability for each product and the total portfolio * Partner with Distribution to identify the best opportunities to drive profitable sales * Identify and prioritize objectives and market value propositions at the solution, product, and initiative level and successfully collaborate with others to complete the vision * Deploy successful data analytics focus to inform future product & solution decisions * Present reasons for advancement of new solutions, including what is needed for success financially and in the areas of services, sales, and marketing tools, etc. * Maintain a well-rounded and outward facing view of what is necessary to ensure success for the solutions and all initiatives supporting it * Proactively identify and resolve issues and obstacles preventing optimal sales potential * Champion initiatives through implementation, roll-out and post-rollout promotion.

What you'll need: * MBA or relevant designation preferred (e.g., FSA, MAAA, CLU/ChFC) * 5+ years pricing or developing of life insurance products * 10+ years of financial services experience and a solid understanding of the individual life insurance business * Prior experience in product strategy, product management, business strategy and/or market/competitive research

It'd be a plus if you had: * Capacity to think strategically and analytically to connect a variety of internal and external inputs into a vision and direction * Ability to successfully influence and collaborate with professionals at all levels and functions, including senior management and field/sales professionals * Proven success of leading others in a matrixed environment * Series 6 or successful completion within first 6 months

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $180,600.00 to $244,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
