We are offering a Fast-Track Graduate Program for Installation Engineers in Europe, starting in October 2025.
The 8-month program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry. In this role you will have the potential to accelerate your career and acquire an insight into different areas, whilst building a valuable international network. Upon completion of your training, you will be based in Dresden (Germany), but will travel across Europe, US and Asia to perform system installations.
An Applied Materials Installation Engineer stands for:
As an Installation Engineer for the iTeam (the “i” stands for “installation”), you’ll work at high-tech facilities worldwide, where you are the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team.
You will focus on performing system installations throughout the Europe region, as well as vast opportunities for travel to support installations worldwide. Travel constitutes 80% - 100% of working time.
Tool installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations) and integration to the inspection of the tools including troubleshooting in case of issues.
Follows all checklists and procedures and ensures correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work.
Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.

Theoretical and practical knowledge transfer, as well as international placements at our newest production sites in Asia and Europe.
Training on-the-job and guided tasks to gain experience. Supported by a local buddy, team colleagues, and managers.
Long-term work opportunities at our European sites with potential development opportunities in various specialisms.
We are looking for you:
You are graduating or have recently graduated, with a Technician, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
An advanced level of English (headquarter is in the US) together with a proficient level of German.
You are an EU Citizen or have the right to live and work in Europe.
Your mindset is important:
Teamplayer with strong interpersonal skills and a building trust nature.
Exercise judgement based on data analysis of multiple sources of information like plant documentations, schematics, and hardware data.
Find solutions with different tools to get the machine running again.
Explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus.
