ManpowerGroup Commercial Collections Manager in Downers Grove, Illinois

Jefferson Wells is partnering with one of our Chicago-based clients to identify a Collections Manager for a long term contract. In this temporary role you will be a working manager in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Job Title: Collections Manager

Location: Downers Grove, IL

Pay Range: $45-55+/hour depending on experience (W2 basis)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee daily activities of direct reports on the collections team

  • Maintain collections on individual portfolio of high-volume accounts

  • Identify issues with billing, pricing, EDI, etc.; escalate issues as necessary

  • Negotiate resolution of collection matters with commercial customers

  • Manage customer account balances with and without credit holds

  • Identify issues contributing to changes in delinquency percentages, run rate, spend levels and operational measurements

What’s Needed?

  • 7+ years' commercial collections experience

  • 5+ years' managerial/supervisory experience

  • Proficiency with MS Excel including comfort using Vlookup and Pivot Table functions

  • Strong mentoring/staff development skills

  • Hands-on approach

  • College degree preferred
