Payable Specialist will be required to work out of our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, IL when they start with us and for at least a few weeks. You will then have the flexibility to work hybrid.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • AP Data Entry and related period close in SAP FICO Module.
  • Route all non-PO related invoices through SAP/VIM for proper approval and coding.
  • Post all PO invoices through SAP/VIM. Perform 3-way match on all PO related invoices. Post an average of 125-150 invoices per day. Follow up with appropriate parties relating to all pricing discrepancies and quantity differences outside of approved tolerances.
  • Route expense reimbursements through SAP/VIM for proper documentation, coding and approvals.
  • Reply Emails /VM\'s within 24 hours.
  • Maintain Vendor Master Records in SAP following HFS procedures (forms, W-9). Make vendor updates as necessary.
  • Review supplier statements for aged items.
  • Monthly review of GR.IR report. Follow up as appropriate with Suppliers, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Receiving, etc.
  • Monthly review of Accounts Payable Open Items Report. Review for aged invoices, debit memos, blocked invoices.
  • Prepare monthly AP accrual as part of month end closing process.
  • Participate in the data gathering/verification as part of the annual 1099 process.
  • Maintain all vendor files.

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

Knowledge of:

  • Hearthside procurement, products, and production processes
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP
  • Food Distribution and Manufacturing for \$350+ million company with multiple manufacturing facilities.

Skill in:

  • Prioritizes work based on short and long term objectives
  • Successfully analyzes and presents data to multiple levels of the organization

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Successfully multi-task
  • Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, regulatory agencies and Hearthside staff.
  • Lead \'best in class\' behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus

Proficiency in:MS Office Suite, SAP, Excel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting is a plus
  • 1-3 years accounts payable experience

The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is \$45,921 - \$68,881/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
