We are looking for Senior Member of Technical Staff who is passionate and creative about building complex architectures to join our Cloud Service Engineering Infrastructure team. You will have an opportunity to drive the development of our next generation Analytics Applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, implementing and managing cloud infrastructure for running highly scalable enterprise applications on cloud.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates with expertise in Java and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Stack – with experience in designing a highly scale-able and distributed system
Strong understanding of cloud computing, load balancing, networking and defining infrastructure as code is expected.
Experience in running a multi-tenanted service on a multi-region cloud and/or supervising and managing large enterprise applications is a must
Strong experience in building highly scalable enterprise applications on Java, J2EE technologies and exposure to OCI Stack is desired.
This position requires a solid computer science background, strong design, programming, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable application frameworks for running enterprise grade applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure across multiple realms and regions.
Design and implement application containers and develop scalable architecture patterns for a mult-tenanted service
Develop scripts and tools for automated deployment for builds and code artifacts into our service infrastructure using our CI/CD framework
Design, implement and configure logging, telemetry and alarms for critical monitoring points of our infrastructure. Develop tools and scripts for automating common tasks.
Collaborate with service application development teams to gather their platform requirements and revise the platform code to meet those application needs
Make effective judgments and choices on design and roadmap based on various considerations. Have a good broader business understanding and mindset, while technically leading efforts in specific areas.
Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and challenging, global environment, with teams responsible for managing global service deployment
Take ownership of internal security compliance requirements and champion the rollout across teams
Rapidly iterate with independently testable artifacts while collaborating actively with a highly talented team of engineers.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Master’s from one of the top Universities.
10+ years of experience with considerable experience in defining and implementing enterprise grade software applications.
Hands-on experience in Java, J2EE applications and API development is required.
Exposure to mult-region infrastructure cloud like AWS, Azzure, OCI is desired.
Hands on experience in building REST APIs using Springboot/Hibernate frameworks.
Expertise in developing docker containers deployable in Kubernetes is a must.
In-depth understanding of Spring, Spring Boot, Micronaut, Kubernetes, Dockers, Virtual Machines, Oracle DB, etc, their configuration and tuning is highly desired.
Strong High-level and Low-level Design skills for building software systems.
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Experience with Performance Engineering at various levels.
Full SDLC life-cycle experience (release of new features, patching, upgrading, maintenance etc.)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proven track record to learn and rapidly adapt to new challenges.
Quick learner, ability to multitask, prioritize and solve complex engineering problems and provide solutions
Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
