Newell Brands Inspector Quality Assurance in Dongguan, China
JOB SUMMARY:
This position has the responsibility ensuring products shipped out of the region for customer are with good quality to reduce risks and protect Newell brands. The team’s overall goal is to provide customers with the suitable quality and continually improve supplier’s performance.
Duties and requirements include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
Perform PPI (pilot run inspection), DPI(on-line inspection), FRI (Final Random Inspection), and factory audits according to schedule.
Type the inspection report and deliver the good report on time.
Communicate quality requirements to the suppliers.
Oversee corrective action/preventive action plan (CAPA), work closely with suppliers/factories to assure effective CAPA implementation.
Verify factory production processes and conduct factory quality systems audits.
Recommend and follow up the opportunities to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the quality assurance processes.
Drive and push supplier process and quality continuous improvements.
Perform any job-related assignments by management team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
College’s degree or above in Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of sampling inspection, quality system audit and quality control tools.
2+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance /production within the consumer goods industry.
Working knowledge of consumer Electric & Electronic products such as kitchen appliance, home cleaner, personal care, linen care, etc.
Knowledge of IEC/UL standards and product certification procedures is a plus.
Chinese (Mandarin) fluency in speaking and English good in reading and writing.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Willing to travel, travel required 100%.
Work independently and able to work under pressure.
Positive, excellent communication and coordination skills, carefulness, responsible, honest and
a good team player.
Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and/or external partners.
Good logical thinking, initiative to solve problems, strong team’s work spirits.
Knowledge of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard is plus.
Knowledge of root cause analysis, 5 Why or 8D problem solving techniques is plus.
