Job Overview:
Manage and oversees high-value and complex subcontracting activities. Manage risks and optimize vendor relationship at a strategic level.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Overseeing the entire lifecycle of subcontracts, from negotiations to execution and closure
Managing subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
Handling changes, claims, disputes, and resolving any issues that arise during the execution
Leading negotiations with subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions
Drafting reviewing and finalizing subcontracts agreements in line with McDermott objectives and regulatory requirements
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key subcontractors
Collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with subcontracting activities
Ensuring that subcontractors adhere to compliance requirements, including legal, financial and safety standards.
Monitoring and controlling subcontract costs to ensure that the work is completed within the budget
Preparing and presenting reports of subcontractor performance, cost, and compliance to the Senior Management
Ensuring that all subcontracting activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
Maintain thorough documentation and records for audit purposes
Providing guidance to junior subcontracts specialist
Leading cross-functional teams in subcontract- related projects and initiatives
Identifying opportunities for process improvements in subcontract management
Implement best practice to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in subcontracting activities
Essential Qualifications and Education:
10+ years’ experience in large and complex subcontracting activities
Extended experience in handling claims and disputes
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering
Strong negotiations skills, attention to details, and ability to manage complex subcontracts and relationships
