Job Posting Summary

The Operations Manager for student and clinical affairs works in collaboration with the Dean, Associate Deans, faculty and staff to manage and supervise operations in the Nursing School. Reports to the Operations Directors.

• Keep progression of all Nursing students' cohorts and course progression.

• Manage authorization and permits for sections of all NURS courses.

• Ensuring all courses offered each semester have appropriate restrictions in place per program offered at each campus.

• Assist with general administrative duties when needed.

• Course scheduling per semester along with the Associate Deans and Program Directors to ensure there are enough sections and spots for all students.

• Ensure students are set for graduation by reviewing degree audits to check all requirements have been met.

• Assist with orientations to help onboard students to their programs of study.

• Assist with semesterly pinning ceremonies.

• Provide accurate cohort numbers to the clinical team so they can ensure appropriate spots in clinical for students.

• Communicate with PACT to assist with registration inquiries and issues that arise.

• Be an outlet for students to reach out to for inquiries about the Nursing program.

• Accurately track cohorts of students for ATI to ensure students are able to access their appropriate course material as per their sequence in their program; in addition, providing ATI with accurate cohort numbers to ensure proper billing.

• Assist with clinical operations and email/calendar management.

• Communications and edits for newsletter, website, and media/marketing requests.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of demonstrated success in a prior Administrative or Operations role.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Knowledge of Banner and MS Office, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to plan and organize groups.

• Experience in EAB, Student Registration processes, Banner, Degreeworks, and Advising a plus.

• High energy level and the proven ability to work under pressure in a timely, confidential and diplomatic manner.

• Ability to travel between locations required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.

Physical/Other Requirements:

• Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies

The Mercy University Retirement Plan is comprised of two components:

Deferred Compensation Plan

All eligible employees may contribute to the Deferred Compensation Plan on a pre-tax basis upon joining the University.

Defined Contribution Plan

Eligible employees are enrolled in the Defined Contribution Plan after two (2) years of full-time employment at Mercy University and receive a semi-monthly contribution from the College, based on age and salary. If an employee is under age 36, they will receive a contribution of 3.3% of their annual salary each pay period. If an employee is age 36 or older, they will receive a contribution of 9% of their annual salary each pay period.

If employed full-time for two (2) or more consecutive years by another institution(s) of higher education (college or university), without an intervening break in service within the last twelve (12) months prior to employment before joining Mercy, please submit a waiting period waiver form to Office of Human Resources. The Defined Contribution will begin as of the first day of the month following receipt of the completed waiver form.
