Ameresco has an opportunity for an experienced Licensed Plumber to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance Team based in Washington, DC.

First Shift Position – Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, control valves and controls, and all other related equipment, in accordance with plumbing and HVAC codes.

  • Self- starter, able to work in a team environment and able to install from bid specifications.

  • Make necessary adjustments and calibration of related devices.

  • Will require time and materials estimating for jobs.

  • Must be able to read and execute work from construction drawings.

  • Will be required to be on call at times.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers’ expectations.

  • Performs related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Trade School or Vocational High School Degree.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial setting.

  • Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia Journeyperson Plumber License

  • Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia Backflow Certification

    Additional Qualifications:

  • 10 years applicable experience preferred.

  • Universal Refrigeration Card.

  • Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 75+ lbs. without assistance.

  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication (MS Office) and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
