The role reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for ensuring a company's policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards. Also referred to as compliance specialists, these highly analytical professionals perform regular audits, implement company policies, and design control systems.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee all business operations relating to compliance including policies and procedures.

• Monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and group internal policies.

• Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements.

• Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues.

• Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.

• Coordinate with different department managers to review all departmental compliance policies.

• Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes.

• Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance issues.

• Verify internal control compliance of all areas within JM Protect

• Attend and coordinate internal and external audit requirements

• Collect audit files

• Follow up audit findings

• Prepare statutory and group reporting financial reports

• Prepare reports for senior management and external clients as appropriate

• Provide support in accounting system issues raised by the finance team.

Requirements for the role:

• University degree qualification

• Professional accounting qualification, e.g. CPA, or CMA - Desired

• Significant experience embedding compliance to accounting policies and controls in a global organization

• Accounting Standards Ability to apply knowledge of applicable Accounting Standards and Cost

• Significant and substantial experience within Finance function preferably in the manufacturing environment – Desirable

• Experience of chemicals / automotive industry – Desirable

• Ability to work collaboratively and provide appropriate challenge, insight and influence through process knowledge, often under time pressure

• Good understand of product costing in the context of Financial Accounting- Desirable

• Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP – Desired
