We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Manager to lead and mentor a dynamic team while managing roadway projects with a strong focus on profitability, client satisfaction, and engineering excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive MDOT project experience, a PE license, and a background in civil engineering design and project management. This role involves overseeing design, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory compliance to ensure the successful delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Work closely with established clients to understand project needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Assist in business development by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
Project Leadership & Management
- Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry standards.
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
- Oversee projects from preliminary studies and engineering through final design, construction documents, and bidding.
- Drive the development and execution of new projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Work Environment & Industry Engagement
- Operate effectively in an office environment while managing remote project sites.
- Attend client meetings and travel as needed by car and/or plane to support project requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and relevant presentations to stay ahead of trends and expand professional networks.
- Conduct site visits to oversee project progress, ensure compliance, and address any field-related challenges.
