Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to drive the definition of the FMEA structure, organize and facilitate FMEA meetings, and align DFMEA test controls with DVP&R. The successful candidate will support the development of process flow charts and Control Plans, track and report FMEA status and progress, and confirm the effective transfer of high severity failure modes. You will lead FMEA technical discussions with external customers and ensure the closure of interface topics.
Responsibilities
Drive the definition of the FMEA structure.
Organize, facilitate, and lead FMEA meetings.
Align DFMEA test controls with DVP&R.
Support the development of process flow charts and Control Plans.
Track and report FMEA status and progress including Risk analysis RPN, Action priority (AP), Completion rate, and Measures.
Confirm closure of interface topics between FMEA blocks.
Ensure effective transfer of high severity failure modes (SCM process) to SC, Our Client and CC in drawings.
Ensure effective transfer of D-FMEA & MSR topics to P-FMEA and implementation of measures in control plan and manufacturing line.
Lead FMEA technical discussions with external customers.
Essential Skills
FMEA
Finite element analysis
Quality engineering
Finite element analysis software
BSME or BS in Mechatronics or Engineering Degree
Full cycle development of FMEA process
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required: Engineering degree or related technical degree
Experience performing product quality FMEAs and FTAs in accordance with AIAG/VDA
Knowledge of FMEA tools
System and component engineering experience including ASPICE, Verification, Functional Safety
Proven communication skills with the ability to summarize complex system issues into actionable work packages
Ability to bring people together to solve shared problems
Preferred: 7+ years automotive industry experience in system engineering, verification, or mechatronics
Formal training in VDA and/or ISO
Experience performing ISO work packages
Experience in FMEA software tools such as SCIO or e1ns
Work Environment
You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with external customers. The role involves technical discussions and requires a detailed understanding of engineering processes and quality standards. The work environment emphasizes continuous improvement and effective communication, ensuring that complex system issues are resolved efficiently.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
