Aston Carter Billing Specialist in Des Plaines, Illinois
Responsibilities:
Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
Process vendor invoices for payment.
Communicate directly with vendors and respond to inquiries.
Dispute and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or pricing.
Provide supporting documentation for audits.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Verify accuracy of service codes.
Maintain imaging and record retention of all billing documents.
Adhere to all billing policies and procedures, including vendor approval and invoice processing.
Complete all assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports.
Reconcile billing transactions.
Keep current on vendor statements and contact vendors on past due invoices for payment.
Communicate with maintenance advisors when adjusting purchase orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in a customer-service oriented role.
Comfortable being on the phone most of the day.
Experience processing invoices.
Basic proficiency in Excel.
Ability to multitask and handle pressure with urgency.
Experience in call centers and handling escalations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems efficiently.
Professional integrity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
