The Role
Lumen is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President, Lumen Transformation Office to lead the Lumen Transformation Office’s (LTO) Project Management Office (PMO). The LTO support Lumen’s 5 core priorities by ensuring initiatives get executed and deliver bottom-line impact across Lumen.
This role is responsible for implementing and then leading the Project Management Office (PMO) team supporting high impact & complex initiatives part of the LTO portfolio across 5 pillars, such as product & ecosystem simplification, under the Lumen LTO Agile operating model (e.g., Pods, Squads) while leveraging the rigor of the Lumen Project Management Framework being implement in Enterprise Operations.

Structure key messages and create presentations by representing and communicating the priorities of leadership across the entire organization to drive quicker decisions
Other duties as assigned.
Be an integral part of the Enterprise Operations leadership team to define the long-term strategy, translate the strategy into specific initiatives for Enterprise Operations, and proactively develop capabilities and personnel within the Enterprise Operations group.
Short Lumen Transformation Office (LTO) PMO specific main responsibilities
Lead the LTO program and project management team in executing against the complex initiatives or group of inter-related transformation initiatives part of the $1.5B cost-out LTO portfolio across the 5 core priorities (Lumen Digital, Grow Core Revenues, Modernize and Simplify, Backbone of AI Economy, Mass Market Execution)
Build team of Program and Project Directors to manage all LTO complex initiatives, overseeing planning, forecasting, scope validation, date and milestone management, financial management, and communications while being fully integrated the LTO Pods/Squads
Lead the chapter across Lumen for Pod Program Manager (PPM) who coordinate all squad within one LTO Pod and acts as overall day to day Lead for the Pod and Scrum Master
Implement Lumen Project Management Framework (LPMF) deployed successfully to build of the Backbone of the AI economy to the other 4 pillars of Lumen’s transformation
Identify high impact complex initiatives for LTO PMO support
Lead and coordinate the weekly LTO PMO transformation cadence
Responsible for weekly PMO meetings, ensuring the right participants attend and actions are tracked
Coordinates all elements of the rigorous weekly Transformation cadence (e.g., Initiatives Owners (IO)/PM check-in, escalation, squads/Pods coordination, Steering Committee)
Tracks projects/program actions from meetings and coordinates with relevant parties to ensure execution
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, General or Business; Master’s degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in Program Management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the Telecommunications industry.
Track record of leading successful multi-million-dollar deployment initiatives and driving value.
Strong ability to build relationships and establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
Strong financial and business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to innovate.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience collaborating with operational contacts at various levels
Proven experience in leading large-scale simplification and transformation initiatives in a complex enterprise environment.
Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with agility and resilience.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
PMP certification is an advantage.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$238,076 - $317,434 in all states.
