The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting all brand marketing activities to drive growth of within the Surgical Division. This role is globally focused on enhancing patients’ lives and their well-being through differentiated, evidence-based solutions for minimally invasive procedures. This role will be aligned to the Laparoscopic portfolio and you will be focused and responsible for managing, building and growing the laparoscopic brand team in the Surgical division. This person will be a part of a passionate & highly skilled marketing team that works collaboratively with cross-functional teams including sales leaders, research and development and finance, etc. Ultimately, as the Marketing Manager, this individual will own the entire product life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ideate, communicate & execute measurable strategies and tactics to drive consistent and profitable growth

  • Analyze daily and provide insights of ongoing brand performance

  • Develop and drive strategic objectives for the laparoscopic portfolio and to ensure strong professional development

  • Communicate opportunities and gaps to peers and to management, offering actionable recommendations

  • Daily management of field-based inquiries and requests

  • Partner & over-communicate with cross functional teams to ensure clear strategic plans

  • Drive the development and implementation of creative marketing strategies across core functional areas (sales, physician, clinical, medical education)

  • Assess market information needs relevant to development or monitoring of strategies and implement market research projects to address such issues

  • Own the entire laparoscopic portfolio of product’s life cycle from creation to utilization and work cross-functionally to maximize efficiencies

  • Contribute to the organization and execution of sales meetings including development, planning, budget tracking and implementation of strategy and messaging

  • Drive the marketing initiatives around the development, launch and sale of new products both in the US and in international markets, ensuring launch excellence, clear metrics and high accountability.

  • As needed, develop educational pieces to train sales force in key clinical, economic, competitive areas

  • Responsible for pricing strategy and discipline. Will manage pricing approval requests and meeting profitability goals

  • Support the identification, development, and management of Key Opinion Leaders in space

  • Assist with Managing any training tools and resources -Simulators, additional trial equipment (extra generators, lab training equipment)

  • Develop and disseminate product and technique tips & pearls for optimal product performance

  • Assist sales team in training surgeons on proper administration of the Hologic’s Laparoscopic Portfolio technologies for strategic sales opportunities (large trials, large account conversions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Drive engagement and performance across the laparoscopic team

  • Ability to coach and develop direct reports

  • Healthcare and/or medical device experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong bias towards action

  • Proven problem-solving capabilities

  • Confident in engaging with HCP’s

  • Experience in driving marketing campaigns, creating supporting collateral & driving key messaging

  • Selling experience & a confident and clear communicator both verbally and in writing

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong virtual and on-stage presenting

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels

  • Strong working ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Medicine or related field required. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. (Would consider candidate with strong sales and people leadership background)

  • Experience: Minimum - 2 years of Healthcare Product Management or equivalent work experience required

Additional Details

  • Must be able to travel as required by the needs of the role (50% travel). 1 week/month

  • Support Surgical New Hire Training in Marlborough Mass – 4 Day Commitment based on Training Hiring Cycles

The annualized base salary range for this role is 101,600-169,300 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
