GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Communications Supervisor supports internal and external communications initiatives and special projects as a member of DaVita's labor relations and center-level risk teams. The ideal candidate will develop an understanding of DaVita's business goals, its needs and, from that understanding, create content to build and protect DaVita's reputation as a leading health care provider. Key duties include: coordinating internal and external content strategy, issues management, content monitoring and reporting, project management and coordinating/maintaining the integrity of other communications and marketing special projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will not have official supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Build strong relationships with field leaders to proactively tell DaVita's story and mitigate reputational issues as they arise Develop and execute internal and external communications campaigns aimed at solidifying DaVita as the provider, partner and employer of choice Identify and work with Village leaders and teammates to gather compelling stories representing DaVita as an exemplary provider and employer (i.e. patient and teammate stories that spotlight clinical excellence and quality; third-party validation through events such as lawmaker visits; and community engagement initiatives, including mobile health screenings, musical performances and new center openings) Elevate, share and amplify compelling content across internal and external channels to maximize reputational impact Establish relationships with local media and conduct media outreach to secure positive media hits Support center-level risk and labor relations teams through creation of communications assets, leader coaching/support and local media relations Work with the creative experts to help develop supporting visual content, review/edit assets and manage the content review process Monitor traditional media, analyze PR outcomes and provide media intelligence to Village leaders with the help of software, tools and agency support Administratively manage multiple projects, research and develop communications plans and track and report results Maintain strong working relationships with teammates across the enterprise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, licenses, certification, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience preferred .A minimum of 2-3 years of communications or related field. Excellent writing, communications and presentation skills, with the ability to create content for a variety of channels required. Successful media placements in support of strategic business goals. Agency and project management experience preferred. Media monitoring experience preferred, including 1-2 years of experience with tools like Talkwalker, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack or similar. Experience and understanding of traditional and emerging strategic communications and marketing trends and technologies. Possess a cultural awareness and ability to tailor communication to culturally diverse audiences.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of the position.
