Vitalant is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Director of Distibution to lead all distribution activities of an assigned Mountain Division Vitalant footprint. As a driving force behind our daily operations, you will champion culture and compliance with Vitalant's policies and directives while managing all aspects of blood product distribution

As the Senior Director of Distribution at Vitalant, your impact is Vital! In this role you will provide effective leadership to optimize service quality, financial performance, and goal achievement. The Sr. Director of Distribution oversees product distribution and delivery within a designated territory, ensuring compliance with regulations and creating a positive customer experience. In this role you will provide effective leadership to optimize service quality, financial performance, implementing strategic plans, and meeting performance metrics. Key responsibilities include maintaining SOP compliance, supporting departmental goals, providing leadership, hiring and training personnel, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, and managing customer relationships

Creates a positive customer experience by working closely with customers to effectively resolve service, inventory, supply and/or billing issues; ensures contractual obligations are fulfilled. Maintains confidentiality related to customer contract terms and conditions, pricing, and all other proprietary information. Ensures orders are filled and delivered to customers and order priority metrics are met or exceeded. Utilizes good inventory management practices to control product dating Achieves quality and regulatory compliance with all regulatory standards, rules and standard operating procedures and policies, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. Collaborate with staff and business leaders to identify strategies for enhancing efficiency, improving working conditions, enhancing customer satisfaction, and resolving conflicts. Represents business unit in enterprise functional council meetings, projects, and initiatives. Participate in annual budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved department budget. Maintain standard operational practices across all locations within assigned geography; champions Vitalant initiatives within teams and assigned customer accounts

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience and/or education required.
  2. Knowledge of inventory management and principles and computer inventory control systems preferred.
  3. Knowledge of blood center products or healthcare experience required.

Experience

  1. Five (5) years of related experience required.
  2. Three (3) years supervisory experience required.
  3. Experience leading multiple locations and/or leading remotely preferred.

  1. Strong communication skills both verbal and written to deal effectively with internal and external constituents and customers.
  2. Excellent interpersonal ability to cultivate and leverage business relationships.
  3. Ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy when interacting with internal and external partners and clients/customers.
  4. Able to maintain customer, donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
  5. Strong analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Able to organize, prioritize, and execu e a variable workload and multiple priorities.
  7. Ability to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  8. Must have a participative management style, strong team development, change management, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive-level managers. Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management.
  9. Must have proficient computer skills.
  10. Ability to travel (25+%).
