Position Overview
We are seeking talented Senior Structural Engineers to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will support all aspects of the construction process by brainstorming and developing conceptual designs, performing and reviewing detailed structural calculations, creating comprehensive plans and schedules to meet client needs, and ensuring the safety of our construction crews by identifying and mitigating potential risks. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems for power generation facilities, focusing on concrete and steel structures. Additionally, you will ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulations, and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
We are looking for SENIOR candidates with proven experience in steel and concrete structural design within commercial, industrial, or oil and gas sectors. A deep understanding of structural engineering principles, particularly in the context of power generation projects, is essential. Responsibilities
Prepare designs for assigned structure(s) including research, selection of lateral force resisting system, analysis, and drawing preparation on projects ranging from moderate to large in size and complexity.
Lead and develop teams for projects moderate to large in size and complexity.
Advise others on proper application of department and industry standards to the preparation of calculations, project drawings, and project specifications.
Understand and meet or exceed the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements.
Research new markets and adapt current processes and workflows to successfully execute project deliverables.
Mentor and direct the work of entry- and mid-level employees. Monitor their progress, review their results, and provide coaching as needed.
Coordinate with internal and external partners including other engineering disciplines, construction partners, third-party subcontractors, and owners to address structural-related issues or concerns.
Identify and manage scope changes for projects moderate to large in size and complexity.
Lead quality checks for engineering deliverables
Recommend changes for standards or process improvements as needed.
Prepare, monitor, and update complex project plans, schedules, and budgets (including staffing needs) to project management and department management.
Support department managers in setting and achieving performance goals for the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year program
Minimum of 12 years’ of experience in structural engineering and design, with at least 5 years in power generation projects.
Licensed Professional Engineer required; Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred.
In-depth knowledge of concrete and steel design.
Experience in the power industry or industrial markets is preferred.
Functional in utilizing spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer operations
Knowledgeable in engineering software. SAP2000, SAFE, and Mathcad are preferred.
Advanced knowledge of engineering standards including ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, and IBC
Strong written and verbal communication skills #LI-MD1

Base Compensation: $135,000/yr - $170,000/yr
