In this role, your key priority will be to lead the Global Media Agency of Records Relationships Team and drive alignments between Go-To-Market, Performance, Retail Marketing on various Mar-Tech priorities and goals with our Agency of Record(s), media vendors, and other key partners. You will be responsible for driving best-in-class and results-oriented relationships

Role Responsibilities

  • Directly leads, and is responsible for, the execution of the global “non-working” media budget of +$20MM including monthly tracking with the Marketing Operations and Finance teams; ensures all POs are correctly created and shared; that all invoices relating to global budget are correctly paid; and that all Agency Volume Bonifications, Rebates, and Unbilled Media is properly identified, tracked, and executed. This budget is +60% (and the largest single component) of the total Global Marketing budget. Supports the execution of the 9-figure Digital and Retail Go To Market paid media budgets, owned by the regional teams.

  • Enables the success of the regional Go to Market teams through a best-in-class global media operation. This includes but is not limited to ensuring the correct Full-Time Employee structure at Global and Regional levels, and that all regional requirements for successful campaigns are met. Leads regular tracking, problem-solving, and planning meetings with key stake holders with VP-level, director level, and senior manager level stakeholders across all global regions. Holds regular discussions with Global Marketing Leadership, including the CMO, Global VPs, and Global Director stakeholder to ensure targets are met and stakeholder requirements fulfilled.

  • Ensures that internal web analytics and app engineering teams, as well as Media Agency Ad Ops teams, correctly set up and implement all Paid Marketing campaign taxonomy, all web tagging, and all app event tracking and attribution. Is comfortable in a developer environment and can lead discussions with Engineers, Product Managers, and Technology Directors to ensure key initiatives are implemented On Time and In Full.

  • Supports the Marketing Commerce and Innovation team by ensuring all media agency partner contracts are reviewed, negotiated, redlined, agreed, and executed On Time and In Full.

  • Supports the Marketing Commerce and Innovation team’s implementation of an enhanced performance measurement framework that improves Western Union ROAS, Customer Lifetime Value, understanding of creative asset performance, and that the “working” media budget is efficiently deployed across all channels. Ensures buy in from the CMO and Global VPs that sources of truth and metrics are aligned and uncontested with the support of the Global Data Analytics teams.

  • Recognizes and adopts industry best practices in media agency management, including a global Test & Learn program jointly with Senior Media Agency staff, Director and VP-level Regional Go To Market executives, and the head of Global Acquisition.

  • Engages with the Head of Privacy, General Counsel, Legal Director & Senior Managers, Information Security Lead to ensure all initiatives and programs meet internal and external regulatory requirements

Role Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience leading Media Agency relationships at a global or top-tier market level, including managing budgets $50M+.

  • Demonstrated experience in performance marketing / direct-response marketing.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Deep understanding of the needs and motivations of a variety of stakeholders that interact with the global media agency.

  • Ability to communicate needs and objectives in a succinct, clear, and persuasive fashion across the position’s multiple stakeholders.

  • At least 5 years management experience/media agency management experience at a leadership level

  • Expert consumer of analytical tools and statistical models, with ability to translate into business and go-to-market strategies in support of Go-To Market regional teams

  • Knowledgeable about the contemporary AdTech environment and about Programmatic media, Paid Social and Search, Upper Funnel measurement, and Privacy regulations.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex business processes across multiple teams in a high-growth environment.

  • Ownership mindset with propensity for finding unique solutions to business challenges.

Salary

The salary range is $112,500.00 – $187.500.00 per year, total on-target earnings include short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
