Oracle Principal Product Manager/Strategy in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

The Sr. Product Manager for Construction Supply Chain in the IGIU will be responsible for roadmap and backlog for cross-cutting features across the Oracle Construction & Engineering products in the IGIU. In this role, you will work with multiple application stakeholders to implement new product capabilities that tie together supply chain workflows. You will be responsible for implementing features that dramatically improve the material supply chain across the construction industry. Alongside, you will deliver highly integrated data and workflows that connect contracting procurement, schedule, labor and material capacity, and cost management to the material supply chain. The capabilities that you will be responsible for will be highly visible in construction projects and will be expected to demonstrably improve project outcomes.

The focus of the Sr. Product Manager is not simply delivering “features” but instead understanding problems, collaboratively solving problems, and delivering capabilities that customers love and use. Like the Portfolio Lead, you will be measured on key KPIs including not just financial & ROI, but also adoption and satisfaction metrics for your solutions. In other words, do customer use the solution and do they like it.

You will drive for consistency, a culture of delivery and customer satisfaction, with 5 key measures:

  1. Adoption “Are people using it?”

  2. Customer Satisfaction “Do they like it?”

  3. Financial “Are they buying it?”

  4. ROI “Are we making money?”

  5. Employee satisfaction “Are we aligned?”

In addition, you will experience Oracle’s wide network with global exposure to our customers and partners. You’ll master executing short-term objectives while preparing for execution of long-term strategies by working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a global team working closely with development, quality engineering, cloud operations, and your product management peers to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will do the following in this role:

  • Demonstrate working knowledge and an intimate understanding of a cloud-based, software-as-a-service product platform in the B2B space

  • Write well-articulated and concise epics and stories to address specific customer business requirements and overall roadmap initiatives

  • Interact directly with our customers, customer-facing commercial teams, development, quality engineering, and more to understand and articulate business requirements and how best to implement new feature solutions with maximum customer impact

  • Work cross-functionality within the IGIU product organization to align prioritization and execution across numerous products

  • Work with internal teams to execute upon compliance, privacy, risk, information security, support, and operations

  • Effectively and succinctly socialize and communicate new enhancements and changes to internal and external stakeholders

  • Work with product strategy leadership in understanding industry trends and for defining supply chain vision and roadmap

  • Communicate effectively and crisply with your development and quality engineering delivery team to rapidly deliver new features to customers

  • Remove blockers and triage issues effectively in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Contribute to crafting go-to-market messaging and positioning for product marketing, client services, and sales

  • Work effectively within JIRA, Confluence, and other software delivery tools

  • Be adept at navigating and directing agile software delivery lifecycles

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years leading a software delivery team effectively and will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Working knowledge of application and API-based integrations along with application master data models.

  • Working knowledge of cloud-based applications and architecture

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal (English proficiency required)

  • Ability to successfully translate business requirements into detailed, deconstructed functional requirements for development and QE to act upon

  • Experience in working with agile methodologies with ability to be flexible

  • Strong time management skills

  • Self-learner who adapts well in a fast-paced, dynamic, and uncertain environment

  • Contributes to process improvements and is an active and engaging team player who seeks out opportunities to assist and learn from team members

  • Understanding and experience with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and methodologies around continuous application delivery

  • Passion and a genuine interest in product management and serving customers with simple but valuable application capabilities

Having prior construction industry experience, particular in a project manager, project engineer, procurement manager, and/or expeditor role, is a strong plus for consideration in this role.

This is a remote or office-based position which may be performed anywhere across the globe.

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
