ManTech Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) III in Denver, Colorado

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) III in Denver, CO.

The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) III uses model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to play a crucial role in developing and integrating Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compliant models and producing DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts for DoD’s Military Services and Agencies’ IT and C6ISR systems. They review and abstract data from DoD technical documentation to implement within the system models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler within a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE). The MBSE III uses methods and techniques to conduct an analysis of alternatives with acceptable levels of confidence within a given mission context. They apply protocols to appropriate technology capabilities, risk, and alternatives to implement the most cost- and performance-effective solution to mission partner operations. They apply the best methods, processes, and tools to optimize solution effectiveness against cost, risk, and performance constraints. They are familiar with Decision Analysis Approaches that include multicriteria, probabilistic, and linear-programming decision analysis methods and techniques. They work with Model-Based Systems Engineers to use model-based Multidisciplinary Optimization and Analysis (MDAO) capability to accomplish an AoA within our Digital Engineering Environment. They define inputs and interpret outputs for mathematical and model-driven simulations to explore the likely performance of alternatives. They consult or collaborate on developing strategic implementation plans as part of the Innovation Recommendation Reports (IRR) to increase Maverick Stakeholders’ acceptance and adoption of innovative technological solutions to increase receptiveness of changes in technologies. They convene SEs to recommend Change Requests and assess their impacts to ensure the success of emerging technologies, to increase the testability, interoperability, sustainability, and affordability based on mission partners’ desired outcomes for the technologies. They may participate in AoA activities to ensure engineering considerations are considered in technology research activities. They contribute to the development of the IRR and presentations. The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) III supervises and mentors subordinate projects and Team ManTech staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 9 years of related experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

  • 11 years of related experience and Associate's degree in related area.

  • 13 years of related experience and HS degree.

  • (A candidate holding a relevant master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.)

  • Knowledge and understanding of information technology, network infrastructure, or C6ISR systems. Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential.

  • Experience with SysML nomenclature and DoDAF.

  • Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, CATIA, or other System Modeling tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • OCSMP SysML Certifications and/or INCOSE Certifications.

  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Top-Secret Clearance with FSP.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,800-$185,500. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
