ESS Metron Maintenance Supervisor in Denver, Colorado

Summary: Lead the facilities and maintenance personnel in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery, building support equipment, and ensuring that the campus remains hygienic. Provide feedback to VP of Operational Excellence regarding machinery status and recommend scheduled maintenance while managing cost-out initiatives. Assists in performing safety inspections and has experience with OSHA regulations. Builds a strategic plan for optimizing facility support, creating budgets, and ensuring the facility team is staffed accordingly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Investigate current facilities budget and spend to determine cost savings initiatives along side the VP of Operational Excellence.

  • Ensure facilities hygiene is managed and executed upon daily.

  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces.

  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.

  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.

  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.

  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.

  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.

  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility's needs.

  • Ensure capital equipment maintains desired levels of uptime within the production space.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Electrical expert that has direct experience operating and maintaining specialized manufacturing machinery, equipment and power tools utilized in asset or general facilities repairs.

  • Plan electrical work layouts of general facilities areas, inspecting and troubleshooting malfunctions or substandard work a plus. Active or past certifications in a related discipline or specialty.

  • Successful utilization of industry standard cost management methods including budgetary cost controls, vendor sourcing via RFP/RFQ, contract negotiations, asset management platforms and oversaw installation of new projects.

  • Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems are a must.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members.

  • Understand and apply safety practices.

  • Extensive working knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Detail oriented and demonstrate multi-tasking ability.

  • Capable of using all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Must have own basic hand tools.

  • Must be able to lift 80 or more pounds, stand/sit for an 8-hour shift.

  • Familiar with city building codes and basic OSHA requirements for safe workplace organization and accident prevention measures.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and associated technical training certificate or industry related field. Preferred associate degree in a technical related field. 5 or more years of experience designing, planning and implementing maintenance schedules with a proven track record of maintaining a minimum machine uptime of 95%. 10 or more years of experience managing direct reports including but not limited to maintenance, mechanical or electrical technicians within a manufacturing plant or production facility environment, or of equivalent industries

Language Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English to clearly collaborate with teammates in a TEAM environment and decipher written guidance, labels and enter data on forms and records. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle; or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stop, kneel or crouch.

Must be able to lift 80 or more pounds, stand/sit for an 8+ hour shift.

Work Environment: This position operates in a manufacturing facility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
