Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
Communicate effectively, proactively, and empathetically with internal staff
Provide all tiers of IT support to end users (both in person and remote), ensuring minimal downtime and outstanding customer service
Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments, including scaling, policy management, and user provisioning
Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft Intune, and other Microsoft 365 services
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, and networking equipment across multiple locations
Lead IT infrastructure projects (e.g., system migrations, cloud integrations, new office buildouts)
Support endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms
Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Create and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and SOPs
Mentor IT staff; provide training, guidance, and foster knowledge sharing across the IT department
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
Assist in training and orientation of new and existing staff
Coordinate services with various external hardware, software, and cloud vendors
Travel to various Company offices to assist with IT needs
Requirements
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to this position, or equivalent years of technology experience
7–10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support
Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure AD
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tenant management and device configuration using Intune
Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs) and experience with routing/switching hardware is a plus
Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell preferred)
Demonstrated experience in mid-sized multi-office or distributed environments
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Relevant certifications a strong plus (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-140, MS-500, CompTIA Network+)
Desktop application support for various software applications used in Transportation Engineering/Design is a plus. These software packages include but are not limited to AutoCAD, MicroStation, Traffic Modeling, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
Physical demands and requirements
The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to travel up to 20% of the time requiring a current driver’s license and background-checked clear driving record. Compensation
The pay for this position has a range of $100,000 - $130,000. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
