Our electrical engineering team provides data-driven solutions to address our clients' most complex water management challenges using digital tools for automation, data analytics, and systems optimization. We leverage technology throughout the project life cycle, improving our client's ability to optimize water and wastewater system processes, predict required maintenance, and improve utility performance. Our Leading with Science approach and domain expertise are augmented by our Tetra Tech Delta suite of technologies and analytical tools that enhance our digital water solutions. We are a trusted partner for water utilities across the globefrom real-time optimization of sewer networks to robust cybersecurity evaluations.

Your Role:

Perform electrical systems planning, design, and calculations

Develop detailed electrical and control schematics

Design medium and low-voltage power systems, lighting, grounding, and other low-voltage systems

Prepare project-specific technical specifications, using CSI Master format

Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit

Assist in the preparation ofstatus reports, basis-of-design descriptions, project manuals, responses to client comments, memoranda of understanding, and other project-related documentation

Mentor and train less experienced staff

Provide construction administration support Accurately estimate electrical construction costs at various levels of project development, as well as level of effort required to perform electrical design tasks.

Meet project schedules and perform work within budgetary constraints

Focus on client satisfaction and repeat business, interface directly with the client

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, from an ABET-accredited program

Professional Engineering (PE) license in California required, or able to obtain within 12 months

5 +years of experience in a consulting engineering role

Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Understanding of NEC, IEEE, and ISA codes and standards as they relate to water and wastewater.

Experience with power systems analysis software (e.g., SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, Easypower):

Experience in the design of both area and building lighting systems

Experience in the design of various water and wastewater projects, and both low and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems

Proficiency with the use of AutoCAD and Revit desired

Experience in construction administration with multiple project delivery methods is desired

Salary Range: $94,000 - $190,000 DOE
