As the Facebook family of apps (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram etc.) has grown over the years with over 2.7 billion people using our services every day, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure that we are minimizing harmful experiences and keeping our users safe. The Central Integrity team’s mission is to protect the Facebook community. This is a top priority for the company. We are looking for a seasoned leader who can navigate the technical complexity of the space and the solutions while also managing and supporting a broad and diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working closely with Engineering and Product leads, have previous experience managing managers, and will have a strong technical/statistical background. As a data science leader you will set strategic product direction through data, influence cross-company stakeholders, and grow a data science team. This is a highly impactful space, providing the opportunity to build global solutions that scale to a broad range of important problems and affect billions of people.
Help build and lead a great data science team to deliver world-class products
Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our core products
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
Provide mentorship to the team on both technical and strategic direction
Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions
Cultivate culture of analytics and experimentation excellence ensuring high quality analytics output
MS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, operations research, econometrics, computer science, engineering), or BS/MS in a quantitative discipline with equivalent working experience
4+ years of experience in team leadership/people management through layers
Track-record driving product roadmap and execution
Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functionally
Experience communicating both in low-level technical details as well as high-level strategies
Ads Systems experience
6+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis, statistical modeling or machine learning in the experimentation space
