Robert Half Business Development Manager in Denver, Colorado

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a venture-backed automotive company in search of a Business Development Manager for their team. This role supports and grows local automotive repair brands, helping them enhance customer experiences and increase return on investment. You’ll be on the front lines of the company's growth plans, prospecting independent auto repair shops for acquisition. This isn’t a desk job—we need someone who thrives on making unannounced site visits, building relationships with small business owners, and exploring win-win opportunities. You’ll work directly with our VP of Corporate Development to identify new targets and assist in the acquisition process.

Salary: $60k - $80k base, including bonus OTE = $85k - $100k range

Work Style: Remote, but with weekly travel to different auto shops around Colorado

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, visit, and engage auto shop owners across Colorado.

  • Build a pipeline of potential acquisition targets and maintain a database of shop profile information.

  • Research the market to stay updated on industry trends and analyze potential leads.

  • Collaborate with our leadership team to secure deals and expand networks.

  • Review P& L statements as well as KPIs to assist in valuations and deal feasibility assessments.

  • Assist the VP of Corporate Development with deal flow and various aspects of the deal process.

  • Create presentation material for regular updates to senior management.

This position is on the front line of the company's growth strategy and plays a critical role in their rapid expansion. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own pipeline, identify new targets, and take initiative in pursuing opportunities, and have a chance to develop skills in M& A, financial analysis, and market research. This is not a high-pressure sales job. Instead, you’ll focus on cultivating meaningful relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's graduate and/or at least 2 years' experience in business development, sales, or corporate development.

  • Confident, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage and persuade business owners.

  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to handle negative responses in a professional manner.

  • Highly self-motivated, with a proactive and resourceful approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

  • Comfortable with travel and in-person meetings (yes, you’ll need a car—don’t worry, we’ll cover your gas and mileage).

If this sounds like you, please send your resume and availability to chat to Roderick Gurrola (contact information in LinkedIn bio).
