Quality Assurance Technician I

Mayday Manufacturing is a leading Aerospace manufacturing company in Denton, Texas that provides a dynamic work environment with cutting edge manufacturing technology. Our company supports the growth and future of the Aerospace industry and is looking to add a 1st shift Quality Assurance Technician I position to our team to contribute to our advancement.

Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Technician I is responsible for ensuring the quality of the Company's products and customer service remains superior in the manufacturing/processing industry. Have a basic understanding of internal policies and procedures regarding the Quality Management System. You will continuously assess the effectiveness and suitability of the Quality Management System and recommend, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives. Work is performed with general supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides or assists in training, as required
  • Accurately updates and maintains data in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Creates NC's as required for non-conforming product
  • Assist in investigating and resolving technical and quality issues
  • Performs monthly Internal Audits, as required
  • Adheres to all company Quality and Safety standards, policies, and procedures

Competencies:

  • Proficient in processing and/or quality principles, practices, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Familiar with inspection tools (i.e. Micrometers, Calipers)
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent math and reasoning skills with the ability to read and interpret complex documents (i.e. blue prints as well as customer and processes and specifications)
  • Effectively communicate by written or verbal skills with customers, suppliers and others across various organizational functions to resolve issues
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English
  • Ability to communicate across various organizational functions to resolve issues
  • Solve problems and make decisions where there are clearly defined objectives and functional direction
  • Intermediate computer skills using MS Office products. (Excel, Word and Power Point)

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one-year related Quality Assurance Technician experience, preferably in a manufacturing/ processing company

Starting Pay Range:

$18.25 to $22.08

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)., Non-U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information. The ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
