[North Central Texas College is accepting applications forPathways to Completion Success Coach: Denton County campuses: Full-Time: Full-Benefits: Salary $49, 727 [Summary Title V Pathways to Completion - Success Coach The purpose of this position is to provide holistic student support to targeted students in grant cohort, to assist students with academic goals, course planning, academic self-efficacy, motivation, financial/time management, and program progression and pathway completion. Establish relationship that fosters opportunities to share areas of growth and areas of concern while supporting students academic goals and proactive measures to enhance pathway progress. Guide new students to develop successful skills and habits that will enhance their educational experience by way of ongoing and frequent success coaching sessions via multi-media communication strategies; maintain new student case management files and records. *Three positions will be filled from this post: one based in Gainesville and two based in Denton.   • Success Coaching- Success coaching focus on targeted grant cohort (Hispanic and underserved FTIC students). Utilize NCTC Coaching methodology in all student outreach and communication with proactive measures to prevent academic suspension. Plan proactive and reactive outreach and record/document all interactions with students (email/text/phone/virtual). Provide and discuss resources to assist students with program and pathway progression, academic self-efficacy, motivation, financial and time management, and program progression. Establish relationships that foster opportunities to share areas of growth and areas of concern while supporting students academic goals.
  • First Year Experience Course Instruction- Develop and deliver a course for new NCTC students in targeted grant cohort, including lessons on: guided pathways, important policies and procedures, NCTC virtual platforms, campus resources, and success strategies.
  • Retention Model- Review and determine intervention strategies for Early Alerts in the Retention Model for targeted grant cohort.
  • Data Reporting- Complete weekly and monthly reports that demonstrate progress towards grant deliverables, objectives and department goals, including but not limited to: guided pathway progression/completion, retention, student registration, and student successes.
  • Advising- Meet with students using active listening and assessing strategies through scheduled appointments, the virtual line and group information sessions. Utilize visual educational aids (simple to follow pathway maps) to fully align with stackable credentials, identify prior experience learning opportunities, show multiple entry and exits, indicate jobs that align with skills attained through various education levels/credentials, and wraparound services available to promote continuation through completion and employment.
  • Success Seminars and Class Presentations-Create and lead presentations on important success strategies for students.
  • Committees, Professional Development, and Trainings- Participate in committees such as NCTC standing committees, student organizations, and employee resource groups. Complete trainings and certifications for student success coaching, career development, and mental health. Also attend student success and student affairs conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.
