Job Title: Machine Set-Up Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a Machine Set-Up Operator for our facility in Delaware, Ohio. This role is available for 2nd and 3rd shifts and involves setting up and operating CNC machines, particularly CNC Lathes. This is a non-traditional CNC role with an opportunity to join a growing company on a contract-to-hire basis.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, particularly CNC Lathes
Troubleshoot and edit machine programs using software such as MasterCam, G-Code, and Fanuc
Run parts and move production throughout the facility
Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and other tools
Maintain a strong focus on quality and safety
Regular attendance and a willingness to be trained
Essential Skills
Experience in machining, specifically with CNC Mills or CNC Lathes
Proficiency in machine operation, editing, and programming
Strong mechanical and tooling aptitude
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Experience in quality inspection and use of hand/power tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior automotive manufacturing experience
Experience with copper wire production material
Mechanic background
Farm Hand/Farm Worker experience
Strong sense of quality and safety
Willingness to undergo drug screen and check

Work Environment
Our manufacturing facility is clean and operates on a three-shift schedule, with most openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. We are located in Delaware, Ohio, just north of Columbus, and specialize in manufacturing resistance-welding electrodes and accessories. Our team consists of 90 full-time employees and a few contractors. We are committed to growth and continuous improvement through automation enhancements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DELAWARE, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.00/hr.
