POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Inspector B is responsible for the inspection and testing of processes and products to ensure quality. Working with a variety of inspection equipment, methods, processes, and products; QA Inspectors will ensure all proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain ISO and customer standards resulting in total compliance with company quality policy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform incoming and routine inspections per approved drawings, control plans and specifications that include dimensional, visual and functional verification
Monitoring and inspecting of product and processes that ensure production of parts to company quality policy standards
Finished goods inspection
Receiving and Outside Process inspection
Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results
Ensuring outgoing products comply with required specifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms
Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms
Perform analysis on select processes and report findings
Recommend updated or new processes
Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports
Assist in the quarantine of defective materials
Administer approved changes to the quality system
Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers
Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment
Mechanically and mathematically adept
Assist in QA and ISO audits
All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
High School Diploma and/or G.E.D
Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing quality and inspection processes
Must be quality conscious and in continual pursuit of improvement

Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity
Demonstrate ability to read, write, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English

Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications
Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet
Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit, to balance, stoop, and crouch
Occasionally required to push, pull, and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds from floor to table
Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards
