In this newly created role, The Director, Digital Strategy & Operations, will be responsible for a team of Subject Matter Experts within Omnichannel Activation, including development and deployment of digital assets across the omnichannel environment end to end.

The Director drives business transformation throughout the organization. The Director will have the Lundbeck US enterprise as its contextual focus, laddering up to the overall Lundbeck business goals and priorities, including Lundbeck Global synergistic capabilities. The Director will work with leadership to understand their key business drivers and organizational strategic needs as well as setting the digital technology and asset Vision & Strategy

The individual will be an integral partner to both the wider Advanced Analytic & Omnichannel organization and its Leadership Team as well as both the commercial and medical affairs organization and the liaison for omnichannel activation needs. Working closely with cross functional partners across the organization, this individual will also interpret AI/ML opportunities in meaningful and actionable tactics and provide guidance on digital operation for the l organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as a strategic lead in Digital Strategy & Operations, including a deep understating of activation through all digital channels.

  • Sets clear vision and guiding principles for the Digital Operations Team aligned to the overall Lundbeck US priorities.

  • Ensure strong relations between Lundbeck Global Functions and Omnichannel Activation team to ensure synergistic capabilities across both functions

  • Strong Team Leadership skills, leading the Digital Operations Team, is required for an existing dynamic team.

  • Overall platform and agency responsibility and associated budget in support of Omnichannel operations

  • Overall responsibility for annual wheel of delivery on omnichannel operations across all brands, including alliance brands and Lundbeck only brands.

  • The director will liaise directly with the brand & medical teams as it retains to tactical planning and deployment, aligned with the line of business priorities, to support growth.

  • Effectively communicates the Lundbeck omnichannel vision and execution strategy to internal and relevant external stakeholders.

  • Brings strategic storytelling and strong collaboration to develop and define customer-centric communication strategy and drive customer engagement.

  • Brings “hand-on” partnership generating omnichannel insights and uncovering gaps/opportunities in the cross-functional team structured with both internal and external partners.

  • Partners with cross functional teams and Business Units to actively lead tactical planning by providing direction on operational know-how across digital channels (Media, CRM, Websites, DVA, RTE, etc.)

  • Provides subject matter expertise to IT and Data team to shape omnichannel technology strategy.

  • Strong collaboration between Omnichannel Operations and the Wider Omnichannel Engagement team to support established omnichannel measurement frameworks, collaborating with the team on Omnichannel KPI development, tracking and diagnostics.

  • Establishes clear governance and operating model for Omnichannel Operations

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong expertise in digital operations, omnichannel engagement and customer analytics

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing technology, or digital operations, with experience in consulting/consulting-type of activities with strong commercial experiences in marketing, sales, operations, IT & Data of which 5 years has been within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry

  • 3+ years of leading, coaching, and developing teams

  • A Change management mindset and the ability to lead teams through change.

  • Experience in deploying Marketing Automation technology across digital channels

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking, with ability to connect the dots to understand all the interdependency and big picture and translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Experience Management Platform and related products

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated through presentation and with the ability to simplify complex matters and communicate with all levels of an organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills –ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders in a cross-functional matrixed environment and manage expectations.

  • Familiarity of web technology/platform and IT processes in order to effectively collaborate with high technical teams (IT/Advanced Analytics).

  • Must be a strong critical thinker and problem solver, who is innovative, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, creative, and analytical.

  • Ability to develop strategies to shape the future and challenge status quo.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment (sense of urgency, adaptable, champion of change) is required.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Accredited Master’s Degree in Business and/or Technology

  • Knowledge of life science industry

  • Experience with Omnichannel operations principles and strategies, as well as channel development, preferably on pharma accounts

  • Experience in marketing enablement, marketing automation, and journey orchestration within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

  • Experience with pharmaceutical launches and commercialization of pharmaceutical products

  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, AB testing platforms, VEEVA and social media platforms (incl. proficiency in A/B testing, multivariate testing)

  • Understanding of modular content capabilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Access/PowerPoint)

Travel

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
