Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Department Manager to join their team and lead the department in delivering top-notch service, warranty support, and project management. The Service Department Manager will oversee all aspects of the service department, including warranty work, service tasks, and small projects. This position is responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, managing financial performance, and supporting the professional development of service team members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and a proven ability to manage operations and financials in a fast-paced environment. salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and bids small projects; may act as a Superintendent for small projects, as needed.

  • Ensures that work proceeds according to schedule and profitability.

  • Supervises/coordinates repairs for warranty work.

  • Ensures that warranty work is not a billable service call.

  • Ensures all warranty work is completed as expeditiously as possible.

  • Supervises/coordinates billable service work.

  • Ensures all hours are billed properly for billable service work.

  • Meets with Director of Project Management to back-charge any applicable work.

  • Personally oversees current customers.

  • Maintains detailed records for all work completed or in progress.

  • Follows-up on Hurricane product installation if coordinated with service department carpenters.

  • Responsible for effective and efficient supervision of service department personnel.

  • Conducts performance evaluations of all service department personnel.

  • Attends and participates in management meetings, as required.

  • Holds service department meetings weekly.

  • Reviews daily reports on work completed, billings, and work in progress and submits to Director of Project Management every Monday for the previous weeks work
