Kelly Services Chemical Forklift Operator in Decatur, Georgia

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

What’s a typical day as a Chemical Forklift Operator? You’ll be:

  • Working safely and utilizing all necessary PPE

  • Escalating any potential safety or quality concerns

  • Performing safe and efficient deliveries to and for customers as directed

  • Maintaining a delivery log and completing necessary paperwork

  • Receiving and directing truck drivers and deliveries

  • Conveying materials and items to designated areas

  • Sorting and placing materials or items according to specifications

  • Reading and following work instructions and SOPs

  • Unloading material, verifying packing slip, and distributing items

  • Assembling paperwork and placing orders

  • Marking materials with identifying information and verifying accuracy

  • Operating forklift/truck and other designated equipment

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service center

  • Participating in process improvement teams and committee memberships

  • Handling tools and materials in a safe and appropriate manner

  • Maintaining inventory records

  • Reporting any safety or security concerns to management

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have forklift experience (preferred)

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Have strong communication skills and can work with a diverse group of teammates

  • Have knowledge of manufacturing software and order processing systems

  • Have experience using MS Office (preferred)

  • Are able to successfully complete required trainings

  • Are able to operate a forklift (preferred, training provided)

  • Have at least 1 year of warehouse experience
