Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Decatur is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accountant. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their knowledge in the following areas: 1) General ledger accounting 2) Month end closing and financial report preparation 3) Internal control processes 4) Problem solving and root cause analysis 5) Generally accepted accounting principles 6) Sarbanes-Oxley. Minimum Qualifications:
4 year B.S. Accounting/Finance; will consider other relevant degrees
Computer Skills Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Products
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting experience in a manufacturing company
2 or more years of steel industry experience
Oracle, EIS or GL Connect Experience
Willing to relocate for future job opportunities within Nucor
