Ford Motor Company Solution Architect in Dearborn, Michigan

The Solution Architect will be responsible for providing solutions for global web platforms and digital marketing initiatives for digital consumer experiences through emerging technology. The solution architect provides technical leadership for large scale development programs, works on new architecture solutions, provide support for the ongoing global web and eCommerce platforms.

  • The Solution Architect leads architecture for new global digital web platforms

  • Works with application teams to define new solutions in digital marketing web technologies, content management / delivery, microservices, cloud native web applications, and public cloud infrastructure

  • Works with application teams to define, assemble and integrate components (examples: hardware, software, requirements for availability, scalability and reliability)

  • Supports the application team in the development of the technical design

  • Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues

  • Participate on emerging tech trends and provide emerging trends review

  • Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding business requirements and defining technical architecture-based solutions that align to Ford Motor Company’s Patterns and Standards.

  • Utilize Design Thinking while working with Product teams to define, assemble and integrate components based on Ford standards and business requirements (examples: hardware, software, availability, scalability and reliability)

  • Develops and Communicates Architecture design for new features

  • Supports the Product team in the development of the technical design and documentation

  • Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues

Must Have Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Rest API, API security, OAuth, SAML, OpenID, SSO, JWT, microservices architecture and implementation

  • Strong knowledge and experience in using API tools like Postman, swagger, etc

  • Experience in Swagger for REST API documentation

  • Expertise with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience with various aspects of software development, including mobile app development

  • Experience with digital marketing technology (e.g., web content management systems, web analytics, search engine optimization, digital asset management, social media integrations, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager

  • Very strong knowledge with cloud infrastructure environments, JavaScript (React JS), J2EE technologies

  • Strong knowledge of various web application architecture design patterns such as headful, headless, hybrid applications, micro-frontend applications, single page applications, and cloud hosting technologies

  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD), extreme programming and CI/CD

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes

  • Negotiation skills and ability to work with several and diverse set of stakeholders/customers

  • Identifies the right technology element by probing into existing components or recommending a new platform for a business landscape

  • Leverage tech standards to solve problems with new and existing solutions while demonstrating passion for emerging technology capabilities

  • Creates and owns the high-level and low-level technical design elements of the projects

  • Interprets business user functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performance, security) to develop system specifications in close cooperation with business analysts and business customers

  • Strong knowledge on Visio and other Project Technical Artifact creation tools and diagrams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience working with teams in an agile environment

  • Experience in trouble shooting complex systems and performance testing and tuning

  • Infrastructure architecture knowledge

  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud and Adobe Marketing technologies

This position is a salary grade SG6-SG8.
