Kelly Services EDS Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan
Contract: 12+ months (generally renewed annually)

Location: Dearborn, MI
On-site local engineering and build support for EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems)
Work with/manage the full service supplier (FSS) to maintain program timing and cost
View 3D routing and package layout of EDS wiring in Tce and Digital Buck
Create with FSS program specific foundation documents
Review all FSS manufacturing print development and release plans
Confirm harness family complexity and MFAL mapping to PDL and Build Orders with FSS
Support 2D Manufacturing and/or Schematic Print and/or Assembly Illustration markup as required
Maintain design version control coordinated with build-specific component and harness part delivery
Master harness assessment and sign-off
Support vehicle assembly plant builds on-site, including KSK launch in Valencia, Spain
Address vehicle assembly issues, make necessary design changes
Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaignable warranty impact. Raise and resolve AIMS.
Work with TVM group to pull CRID data/ideas and work with FSS to implement CRID ideas to meet program timing and cost.
Primary Skills Required:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience in EDS wire harness engineering
3+ years functional knowledge of vehicle electrical system. Understands wire type/gauges, connectors/terminals, fuses, relays, coverings and routings.
Fundamentals of EDS Design, including KSK (Modular Harness Design) design preferred but not required
Team Center Engineering (both 3D CAD and 2D prints will be stored there)
AVBOM / WERS
3+ years working knowledge of Ford Global Product Development System (GPDS), change control process, and launch experience (or other OEM applicable experience)
1+ years wiring or electrical systems experience. System/Schematic development or maintenance.
