We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director, Internal Control - Enterprise Technology (ET) to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT internal controls across the company.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT internal control principles, standards, and best practices, as well as excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
This role will report to the Sr Director of Corporate Internal Control with matrix reporting to executive IT management, requiring strong collaboration and communication with both groups.
What you'll do...
Lead a global team of 30 employees, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success in delivering high-quality IT internal control services.
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT internal control strategy, aligned with the company's overall internal control framework and risk management objectives.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., S-Ox, GDPR).
Collaborate with IT management, business stakeholders, and other internal control teams to identify and assess IT risks and develop recommendations to mitigate those risks.
Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, internal audit, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT internal control activities.
Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in IT internal control, applying this knowledge to improve internal control processes and recommendations.
Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders on IT internal control activities, risks, and recommendations.
You'll have...
At least 10 years of experience working with IT controls, either in Internal Audit or Big 4 IT auditing.
Bachelor's degree -- preferably in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Even better, you may have...
Professional certification in accounting (CPA preferred) and/or IT information security (e.g. CISA, CISSP, or CISM).
Master’s degree in business, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Strong understanding of IT internal control principles, standards, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience in supervising and managing a team of professionals, with a focus on excellence, development, and growth.
Experience with IT control frameworks, such as ISO 27001.
Experience with cloud-based technologies, risk and controls.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
