Ford Motor Company Business Analyst in Dearborn, Michigan
As part of our IPI team (In-Plant implementation team), you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. Within our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. That means we’re continually seeking diligent, determined performers who think outside the box to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our vehicles.
We are seeking an individual with good accounting skills to lead financial management for the IT New Model Programs activity supporting Vehicle Operations, who has an eye for details and accuracy. The successful candidate will have an eye for details and be a stickler for accuracy. They will be able to organize and track multiple programs, purchase orders and invoices. The successful candidate will work closely with coworkers to solve issues related to purchase orders, invoices and new model program finances. This includes working with other teams and departments to ensure our new model program launches are successful.
Enter PO’s into the system
Track PO’s to ensure all levels approve and purchasing has placed the PO with the vendor
Understand PCAM , PFR2 and IERP/SAP for Ford accounting
Understand the New Model Programs invoices/receipts via CPARS and Aurora Systems
Follow up with vendors on open PO's related to new model programs (NMP) for delivery dates of materials and services
Lead Weekly/Bi-weekly L3 (status) meetings for NMP Plants/Programs (Including Dual Plant Code)
Follow up on open items related to L3 meetings
Facilitate kick off of approved PTO/VO Programs once long lead funds or program approval funding are received
Work with financial analysts (ITBO and MSAP) to ensure approved PTO/VO studies are entered in PFR2 so funding can be loaded
Create line items for new PTO/VO programs and set up checkbook within workbook
Understand the monthly labor spend for NMP personnel via ITBO system
Understand monthly labor allocations
Process monthly data reporting on monthly spend for all new model programs
Understand how to follow up with vendors on their open invoices
Assist/Train team members when needed (Reconciliations, forecasts, etc) collaboration with your coworkers is key to being successful at Ford
Understand the financial dashboard template to be used for tracking larger programs with more visibility
Understand how labor/travel are billed via ITBO (business office) ITSA tool
Understand how to transfers NMP funds via ITSA's to other departments via ITBO transfer tool
Enter all PTO and VO submitted Milestone studies in Rally
Error check that all new NMP are entered into the cycle plan for PTO and VO programs including funding and timing
Know what the BPR is and how to update it for all NMP's
Understand the many forecasts, and how we track to them
Assist outside departments with various tasks (Receiving invoices, etc)
Work closely with IPI leads on status of programs, invoices, etc.
High school diploma required
Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred
3-5+ years in experience in bookeeping and PO's
SAP/IERP experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with others in the financial teams
Microsoft offer (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply new technologies
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member on a team
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
