Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in De Witt, New York

Description

Nick Corieri from Robert Half has a great Accounts Payable job opportunity with one of his best client companies. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial health of our organization through accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking, processing, and coding

  • Paying invoices and expense reports

  • Reconciling vendor payment inquiries and resolving issues promptly

  • Maintaining accurate records for assigned accounts payable vendors

  • Following proper approval protocols for invoice processing

  • Assisting with new vendor account setup

  • Handling vendor inquiries about payment status and resolving account discrepancies

  • Preparing signed checks for outbound mail

  • Coding, entering, and paying vendor invoices

  • Processing check requests

  • Entering and generating check batches

  • Reviewing vendor statements for open activity, requesting invoice copies as needed, and investigating to resolve discrepancies

  • Multi-tasking while ensuring quality and accuracy

  • Demonstrating exceptional organization skills and attention to detail

  • Being prepared for other assigned duties as required to support the organization's needs

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting is preferred

• Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
