ST NORBERT COLLEGE Assistant Director - Student Conduct/REH in DE PERE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college invites applications for an Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Residential Education and Housing. This position serves as the primary student conduct officer for St. Norbert College, providing leadership in overseeing all student judicial processes and ensuring fair, timely responses to student needs and behaviors. Additionally, this role develops and delivers training and presentations across campus on conduct and housing-related processes. Committed to fostering a safe and supportive community, the position also plays a role in managing select upper-class housing units on campus. Specific responsibilities: - Serves as the Chief Disciplinary Officer of students for St. Norbert College. Oversees the functioning of the student conduct system through managing institutional risk in the adjudication of cases, conduct training and outreach, and providing consultation on student conduct issues. In addition, ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards, and laws. - Develops, implements, and updates a comprehensive student conduct process which includes management of a disciplinary record-keeping database, Maxient. Reviews/revises conduct codes, adjudication systems, manuals, sanctioning guidelines, and related procedures. - Assists with the development and implementation of various campus housing trainings, presentations, and processes (i.e. student staff training, summer orientation, etc.) - Develops an environment that supports student development and a positive community for a portion of campus upper-class housing units. Occasional on-call responsibilities are expected. - Responds to complex student welfare and behavioral issues and coordinates resources across campus. - Recruits, trains, and oversees student conduct Process Advisors and Alternative Resolution Facilitators who support students during the judicial process as well as members of all Judicial Boards, including the College Community Relations Board. - Serves on the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) and provides Threat Assessments of students based on their level of behavioral concern. - Develops and presents workshops for members of the college community regarding student behavior. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in student conduct, conflict resolution, and student affairs related areas. - Experience working with faculty concerning academic integrity and other conduct related issues preferred. - 3-6 years full-time experience related to student conduct or residential life in higher education and/or student affairs. - Current membership in a professional student conduct association highly preferred. - Training in Title IX, Jeanne Clery Act, and FERPA interpretations highly preferred. - Ability to function well in emergencies, emotionally charged circumstances, and crisis. - Knowledge of FERPA and Title IX regulations and related higher education judicial practices. - Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and student development. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines effectively. - Demonstrates a deep appreciation for the College ideal of Communiorooted in mutual esteem, trust, sincerity, faith, and responsibilitywhile being dedicated to working in a mission-driven environment that upholds Catholic traditions, Norbertine values, and the liberal arts. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Other: Applications received by Wednesday, March 26th will be ensured full consideration.
