Aircraft Systems Engineer Acquisition Systems Engineer, Journeyman Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Dayton, Ohio HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. HX5 is currently seeking an Aircraft Systems Engineer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Human Systems Division at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide engineering support for Air Force Egress and Survival systems the areas of: Requirements Development, System Design & Analysis, System Integration, and Data Evaluation. Provide technical assistance to Project Managers (PM) and Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to support the Air Force acquisition process. Contribute to Performance Work Statements (PWS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP) Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Technical Reviews, etc. Support IPT meetings, Technical Interchange Meetings, Design Reviews, Audits, In-Process Reviews (IPR), and other meetings. Provide technical support in procurement, modifications, risk mitigation, hardware/software integration, and testing for training systems. Assist integration of various simulation systems, including visual, radar, infrared/electro-optic, and tactical environments, as well as flight dynamics and networking operations. Aid in the development of test plans, standards, and engineering for flight simulators. Analyze and incorporate new technologies, policies, and processes for Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program and three (3) years' relative DoD experience An understanding of the Defense Acquisition Process is preferred, but not required. *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. Must be able to travel, including air travel.
