Insight Global Fish Lift Project Manager in Darlington, Maryland

Job Description

A large utilities client is looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team for a long term project. They will be responsible for Fish Lifts and associated projects. This individual will be responsible for tracking budget, schedule, and driving resolution on open actions for a series of projects associated with environmental commitments to moving fish upstream of the dam. The projects are in a design phase and the role requires collaboration and facilitation between site (in-house) engineering, contracted owner's engineer, and contracted design engineering firms. This is the 'heavy lift' of the project as the designs are complicated and having someone who is detail focused and can navigate between the multiple groups is key. As the designs reach a certain level of completion ( 90%), they will start taking these out for bid for install. They are expecting to reach this point between July and September for the majority of the projects. they would need to be able to support putting together the bid documents with collaboration of our Supply and Engineering groups. This position is hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite in Darlington, MD.

Skills and Requirements

  • Detail oriented and able to facilitate resolution of open issues

     - Tracking of schedule and budget with collaboration of external engineering resources

     - Experience with RFPs in construction -- particularly with projects with a high environmental/regulatory focus

     - Tracking action items and following up with the appropriate individuals to get resolution

     Ensuring issues are quickly identified and raised up for support in resolution null
