Position Summary:* *
Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Clinical Rad/Lab Tech at the Sovah East location to perform a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of designated portions of the body. Observed all regulations concerning radiation protection of patients and staff. Triages patients upon entry into the clinical area and works directly with providers to process necessary orders. Is responsible for the oversight of the Lab area and maintains required CLIA documentation. Performs necessary blood work as ordered by providers.
- Obtain radiographs with stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Took appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
- Educate patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- Assures appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
- Triaged patients, which includes taking all vitals and other office procedures.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Implemented safety standards and performed appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Perform venipuncture or capillary collections according to procedure.
- Performs and reports waived to moderately complex laboratory tests on patients.
- Follows troubleshooting procedures to resolve instrumentation, testing of quality control problems, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary and documents any remedial actions.
- Maintains and operates laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Accesses computer for patient reports, enters, transmits, and reports scan results.

Minimum Education:
- Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required Drag Edit Delete

- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

RequiredCertifications/Licenses:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Hearth Association (AHA) required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
