Acuren Payroll Manager in Danbury, Connecticut

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for key performance objectives and the daily deliverables of the U.S. Shared Services Payroll Department.

Key Performance Objectives

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure the quality of the payroll team's daily deliverables are in line with company expectations
  • Implementation of Ultipro HRIS
  • Lead and develop payroll administrators for optimal work performance
  • Ensure backups are in place for all team tasks to ensure business continuity during absences
  • Team succession planning
  • Maintain effective partnerships with other departments to facilitate error resolution and a smooth operating environment (HR, PCMs, Office Managers, etc)
  • Assist the VP of Admin and Supply Chain in ensuring adequate internal controls are in place

  • Review/audit internal controls for effectiveness and compliance

Daily Deliverables

Daily Deliverables include the following but not limited to:

  • Ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity of all payroll deliverables including:

  • Processing payroll for hourly and salary personnel in a timely fashion, including but not limited to; processing new hire paperwork, direct deposits, payroll corrections, W-4s, wage verification, garnishments, I-9s, employee accruals, etc.

  • Analyze, prepare and import all payroll data from the field int Ulti -Pro
  • Administration and filing of employee paperwork; ensuring that the employee file is complete and accurate
  • Processing of changes related to payroll such as payroll or human resource field changes, employee change requests, bonuses, etc.
  • Research as needed for resolution of individual and group issues
  • Support the Accounting staff with payroll related balance sheet account reconciliations, such as vacation, union, headcount, and other reports
  • System and process audits as required or assigned
  • Running ad hoc reports as requested
  • Review of year end payroll records and reports
  • Communication of issues or directives in a clear and concise manner
  • Partner with the team in maintaining all Processing and Operational procedures
  • Partner with theVP of Admin and Supply Chain in executing the team mission
  • Any other duties required by management

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Knowledge of Ultipro
  • Four year business degree preferred
  • CPP certification preferred
  • 8+ years payroll experience
  • 4+ years supervisory experience
  • 4 -- 6 years payroll administration in a multi-state, multi-site environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal, analysis and resolution skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office with a proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Detail oriented and organized
