Position Overview

Our average Linehaul Team makes over $180,000 (per truck) per year.

Our average Linehaul driver makes over $90,000 per year.

Essential Duties:

  • Possess the skills and knowledge to safely operate a tractor-trailer with a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License.

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to weight and length regulations, pre/post trip inspections, permits, tolls, and port of entry process. In the event ELOGS go down, complete necessary paperwork, log books, inspection forms, and mileage records.

  • Complete a “Drivers Daily Checklist” at the beginning of the shift noting any mechanical defects of the assigned tractor and trailer.

  • Check cargo for security, check that the bills of lading are in order, and determine that he/she has the available hours to legally complete the trip according to DOT guidelines.

  • Learn and follow all procedures at each plant/facility – location to drop and pick up loads, location to drop and pick up bills, COD and return procedures, etc.

  • Obey all traffic laws and restrictions.

  • Refuel the tractor.

  • Correctly maintain and turn in all paperwork at end of trip.

  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance and safety record in accordance with company policies.

  • Perform any other duties as may be necessary to aid in maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to meet DOT Physical requirements.

  • Able to manually shift transmission gears and steer the vehicle simultaneously (in sub trucks as necessary).

  • Able to lift weights of 50+ pounds.

  • Able to climb in and out of tractor without difficulty.

  • Able to raise/lower the sand feet and chock the tires.

  • Able to pull kingpin and slide tandems.

  • Able to kneel, bend, and have good flexibility when inspecting or unloading.

  • Able to sit up to eight hours straight while driving and/or waiting to load/unload.

  • Able to sleep up to ten hours in bunk.

Other Requirements

  • Be at least 24 years of age.

  • Have a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License.

  • Consent to random and post-accident testing as described in Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.

  • Able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

  • Have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies.

  • Report any traffic citation or accident immediately to dispatch.

  • Have good interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Operate voice mail system and PeopleNet ELD.

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
